15 November 2011 1,255 views No Comment

The Transatlantic – Journal of Economics and Philosophy – is now calling for submissions to be published in its third issue on “Education & Innovation”. After two published issues comprising articles by undergraduates, postgraduates and guests we are again inviting students and scholars from all over the world to approach the new topic in various ways. Possible subtopics include, but are by no means limited to:

- Economics Education/Education Economics
- Education and Development
- Innovation and Growth
- Intellectual Property
- Elitism and Economics
- Brain Drain

If you have an outstanding piece on some other topic than that of this issue, please send it to us anyway and we might publish it in a new section of the journal or in a subsequent issue.

If you are interested in writing an article, please send us your abstract by December 16,2011 to submit@thetransatlantic.org. The full piece should be approximately 2000 words. Although we usually prefer pieces that are clearly related to the topic of the issue, we are also willing to accept outstanding pieces that are on some other topic. However, in any case please make sure that your submission has philosophic as well as economic import. Please refer to our guide on The Transatlantic Guide for further advice.

If you have any questions or proposals, please do not hesitate to get in touch (info@thetransatlantic.org).

In order to get you started, we suggest watching the following video on changing paradigms in education – a talk given at the RSA by Ken Robinson (© RSA 2010 – theRSA.org)

All the best,

The Transatlantic Team
